It can be challenging to combine dishes and wine into a nice menu, allowing for a great evening. We love the traditional French suggestions in La Cuisinière Provençale van J.-B. Reboul (published by P. Tacussel). A lunch and dinner suggestion is included for every day of the year, so Life Can Be Simple!
A nice winter menu could be:
- Salad of Cepes and smoked Duck Breast (served with a fresh, fruity Viognier)
- Roulade of Turkey with Chestnuts and Madeira Sauce (served with Brussels Sprouts, a Madeira Sauce and a full bodied red wine)
- Cheese
- Chocolate cake
A nice spring menu could be:
- White Asparagus with Ham and Eggs (served with a glass of Pinot Blanc)
- Lamb Shank (served with a full bodied red wine)
- Cheese
- Panna Cotta
